Chris Grebner graduated with honors from Le Cordon Bleu Portland’s Culinary Arts program, which emphasizes French cooking techniques using modern technology.  While working with local restaurants and catering companies in Portland, Oregon, Chris decided he wanted to get even closer to the average dining table.  This is where Spoon&Fork comes into the picture.

With a passion for sustainability and local produce, Chris hopes to narrow the gap between the farm and the table even more by using produce directly from the farmers when possible.  When that can’t happen he shops local stores, co-ops, and farmer’s markets in order to find the best product for the best price.  He uses organic and sustainable products because he believes it’s the responsible thing to do, not to mention more delicious.

Chris lives in Iowa City and is a co-founder of the organization {reclaiming roots}. He has a strong passion for community and making Iowa City a better place to be.
