about the chef
Chris Grebner is a graduate of Western Culinary Institute’s Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program, which emphasizes French cooking techniques using modern technology. While working with local restaurants and catering companies Chris decided he wanted to get even closer to the average dining table. This is where Spoon&Fork comes into the picture.
With a passion for sustainability and local produce, Chris hopes to narrow the gap between the farm and the table even more by using produce directly from the farmers when possible. When that can’t happen he shops local stores, co-ops, and farmer’s markets in order to find the best product for the best price. Chris purchases organic and earth friendly products because he believes it’s the responsible thing to do, not to mention more delicious.
Chris is a member of the American Culinary Federation working towards an ACF Personal Chef Certification. He also carries a current Oregon Food Handler’s card.
